Kandawgyi Lake

Kandawgyi Lake
   Known during the British colonial period as the Royal Lakes, a body of water located just north of the downtown district of Rangoon (Yangon) and east of the Shwe Dagon Pagoda. The British built their Boating Club there; at present, the lake is the site of traditional Burmese regattas sponsored by the government.
